Movie Night!

Came downstairs Saturday morning and there Eddie was sat larger than life on the sofa holding the TV remote and next to him was a box of Lauren's sweets.....needless to say she wasn't too chuffed ;)

Just Hanging Around

Eddie was fairly quiet on Saturday night and we found him just perched on the corner of a picture in the front room. I have to say my eldest, Jordan, was none to happy when she walked past him and he decided to jump on her...she nearly passed out with fright!!

Having completed a very busy day in the shop and finished a workshop rather late a very tired me forgot to take poor Eddie home ....But he didn't seem to mind too much it has to be said!

Well Eddie seemed to enjoy his first night at home in fact I would say he was extremely relaxed!

Eddie the Elf''s First Day

Well it was a night of frantic worry for one little girl, namely my daughter Lauren as I had left Eddie in the shop and she was worried he would be sad, lonely and cold all on his own! So this morning she was ready and eager to leave for school early!! (This is a complete rarity!!)

All the way in the car she chattered away about what he would've been doing and how he would be feeling and generally what an awful person I was to have left him on his own etc etc.... I wasn't worried about the cold due to the fact HE IS FROM THE NORTH POLE!!! But I knew my battle was lost and there was no  reasoning with an 11 year old!

As we opened the shop door she shot through almost knocking me off my feet but she was disappointed to find he was sat in exactly the same place as he had been the day before. She proceeded to tell me that he was probably sulking due to my lack of care and concern for our new Elf friend and with this she stomped off to school ...

But you see we missed something very important can you see what it is?......

Well Eddie has been a very busy boy over night and has needle felted some Christmas pudding Earrings that look a lot like my tutorial - clever Eddie!

And needless to say (for my sanity and the safety of my Ear Drums) tonight is the night the Elf on The shelf comes home.........

Eddie the Elf has Arrived

Eddie has entered the building ....

Well this morning started off as any other day. As we arrived at the shop I kissed Lauren goodbye and waved as she walked to school. I unlocked the shop and entered a very cold shop! At first I couldn't see anything out of the ordinary so I placed my bag down and took off my coat. As I sat down to check my emails I could feel someone watching me ....hmm how strange I thought, and carried on checking through the offers from Amazon and other countless emails I received overnight. 

After a little while I decided to arrange some items on the shelf and to my surprise there sat Eddie! This cheeky little fellow with his bright sparkling eyes was smiling back at me!  Well where did he come from and how did he get here? It was a real mystery until I saw the letter next to him explaining it all so clearly! You see it's quite simple having had a fairly difficult year for various reasons I had hidden away a bit so had dropped off the north pole radar- and I guess Santa felt he needed to check I was firstly Okay and secondly being a good girl! But let me tell you a little secret Eddie's arrival has sure brought a big smile to face and I feel the Christmas season has begun! To prove it I needle felted a Christmas Pudding :) 

Now I have heard through the grapevine that sometimes Santa's Elves are known to be a little wild from time to time so you will have to watch this space!
